Yes. Once you are done shooting a scene or wrapped for the day, the audio files head to your DIT or Media Manager like normal for transfer. From there, they run our Hotsheetz app on that same computer where transcription happens locally without ever even needing an internet connection. Your files never hit our servers for any reason because they don't need it.

No, not at all. If you can wrangle cast after a dinner party, then you can use Hotsheetz. However, if you need help, our Enterprise plan offers a dedicated Production Success Specialist to guide you through the process.

No, never. To protect your intellectual property, we respect your privacy and security by never allowing your data to be used to refine our system or process.

We don't think so, no. This tool is designed by crew members that have identified pain points in the unscripted storytelling process. The story team is able to be more efficient and effective by negating the need to log notes of every piece of the on-camera dialog, freeing up valuable resources to advance to another scene, prep cast or, you know, not work a 15-hour day.

Once audio files are delivered to the DIT, you can expect an accurate transcript and draft hot sheet in your inbox within as little as an hour depending on how maybe crews were shooting that day. Speed up your workflow even further by adding a media handoff at lunch.

Once processing is completed, we automatically upload speaker-labeled timecoded transcripts and Hot Sheets for both Production and Network to our Story Hub where you can add in additional notes for a finalized version. You can export anything to a PDF to email out or have notifications e-mailed to anyone you choose.

The key departments or positions that are instrumental in this process are the Producers and the Audio departments and the beneficiaries are primarily the Producers and the Post Production Supervisor.
